Hanoi House
119 St Marks Place, New York, NY 10009
Choose this menu when…
This is a clear meat-selection comparison: two choices cost $20, three cost $23. That describes topping choices, not a larger measured soup portion.
| Published order | What the menu actually specifies | Item price / USD |
|---|---|---|
| Classic Hanoi Style Beef / Pho Bac, two meats | Choose from rare filet mignon, brisket, oxtail or tendon. | $20.00 |
| Classic Hanoi Style Beef / Pho Bac, three meats | The additional named meat changes the listed bowl price. | $23.00 |
| Vegetarian Pho / Pho Chay | Mushroom and ginger broth, leafy greens, cauliflower, mushrooms and puffed tofu. | $19.00 |
Price channel: Restaurant HTML menu. Checked October 10, 2026.
Before ordering: Pickled garlic and house chili sauce come on the side. Bone marrow is a $7 add-on; the separate $29 house special includes marrow and a breadstick.
Two meats and three meats are selection counts. The menu gives no noodle weight or soup volume.

Madame Vo
212 E 10th Street, New York, NY 10003

Saigon Shack
114 MacDougal Street, New York, NY 10012

| Classic Beef Pho | Thinly sliced raw beef. | $15.95 |
| Saigon Shack Pho | Sliced beef, beef balls and house brisket. | $17.95 |

The current PDF distinguishes $25 brisket pho from two $22 alternatives. It calls the mushroom bowl vegan. An egg yolk is an optional $3 add-on rather than a printed default topping.
| Published order | What the menu actually specifies | Item price / USD |
|---|---|---|
| Pho Thin Ha Noi / Beef Pho Ha Noi | Wok-seared brisket, scallions, pickled garlic and Thai chili. | $25.00 |

Before ordering: The current website lists lunch service Friday through Sunday and dinner daily. A 20% gratuity applies to parties of six or more.
The menu issue date is not stated. Older booking-platform menus print different prices and egg toppings. The website’s soup photograph contains an egg, so it does not demonstrate the unmodified current vegan bowl.

Best pho for your order: start with the menu
| What you want to compare | Menus to read together | Useful difference |
|---|---|---|
| A beef topping combination | Hanoi House · Madame Vo | Hanoi lets you choose two or three meats. Madame Vo prints a fixed eye-round, brisket and meatball combination. |
| Plain beef vs a house mix | Saigon Shack · Pho Shop | Read the list: a house title can add meatballs, tendon or omasum, depending on the restaurant. |
| An explicitly chicken stock | Sao Mai · Pho Shop | Sao Mai names chicken broth for chicken and seafood pho. Pho Shop distinguishes grilled chicken in beef broth from chicken-broth noodles. |
| A menu-labelled vegan stock | Di An Di · District Saigon | Both current linked PDFs explicitly use vegan wording. Read add-ons separately. |
| A smaller lunch format | District Saigon | Its $16 lunch pair specifies a small pho and half sandwich. It does not establish the serving volume of another restaurant’s full bowl. |
Item prices in USD, read October 10, 2026. Each card identifies HTML, PDF, lunch or undated menu-image pricing. The menus do not state soup volumes or noodle weights. Additional charges and availability can change.
Three words that change the order
- Chicken: a topping and a stock are different facts. Pho Shop explicitly lists grilled chicken pho under beef broth.
- Seafood: Sao Mai’s seafood pho contains chicken broth. Fish and shellfish in a dish title do not establish the stock.
- Vegan: use an explicit menu description. Di An Di’s current mushroom pho is labelled vegan; an optional egg yolk would change that order.
Pho, bun bo Hue or a vermicelli bowl?
Sao Mai and District Saigon list spicy lemongrass bun bo Hue separately. A vermicelli salad or grilled-pork noodle bowl is another preparation. Search the complete item name rather than treating every Vietnamese noodle dish as pho.
Source photographs may show an older recipe or added toppings. Read each caption before using a picture to choose a current order.
